RSSフィードの再発見へ昔からよくさまざまなRSSフィードを読み続けてきたが、しばらくアプリ使っていないとどうしても積読状態になりがち。未読がやまほどあるとか、このフィードやたら更新が多くて別のフィードを見逃してしまうとか、なんとなく事務的に古い投稿をスクロールしているだけだとか。このアプリはフィードこそ、永久的なものではなく「フィードは川のように流れ、過ぎ去るのも同然」の発想から生まれたらしい。また、フィードの作者たちを「声」として捉え、それぞれの声が届けてくれる投稿を本棚みたいに整理しておくとか、少し不思議な要素が含まれている。感触が新鮮で、これからどんなアプリに進化していくか楽しみです!

Current is an RSS reader built on a simple idea: your feed should never make you feel behind.
There are no unread counts. No red badges. No number climbing while you sleep, silently tallying everything you haven't read. Current shows you what's new right now, and that's it. Nothing is owed. Nothing is overdue. You open it when you want to read, and whatever's there is what's there.
The design is intentional. Every screen, every interaction, every animation was built to feel calm and unhurried. Articles are presented beautifully with clean typography and generous whitespace. Navigation is fluid and intuitive. The app gets out of the way and lets you focus on what matters: the writing.
Current supports multiple sync providers so you can bring your existing subscriptions:

- Local RSS (on-device, no account needed)

Swipe & Gesture Improvements
- Significantly improved swipe / scroll performance
- Swipe from anywhere on the screen to return to the river, not just the screen edge
Reader & Rendering
- Twitter/X embeds now display as styled cards with the post text and a "View on X" link instead of broken embed blocks
- Newsletter rendering dramatically improved: fixed-width tables, inline pixel widths, and email layout cruft no longer cause horizontal overflow
- Empty newsletter layout elements (leftover divs, table cells) are now collapsed so they don't create blank gaps
- More bottom padding in the reader for comfortable end-of-article reading
New Feature: Bottom Navigation Bar (iPhone)
- New toggle in Settings → Appearance to move the navigation bar to the bottom of the screen
iPad Fixes
- Fixed blank screen when making the iPad window very narrow (compact width)
- Fixed article reader background color clashing with the app chrome in dark mode
macOS Fixes
- Fixed sidebar auto-closing on app relaunch
- macOS "Always Fetch Full Article" toggle now properly works and doesn't get reset between devices
Settings & Sync
- Text size and font scale settings are now per-device and not sync'd
- Navigation bar position (bottom bar toggle) is also per-device
- Disconnecting a sync service now clears stale sync metadata from sources, preventing ghost unsubscribe operations on reconnect
